Baltic Power is preparing for 30 years of operational phase. Recruitment for the operational phase of Poland's first offshore wind farm is underway.
Located in Łeba, the Baltic Power service base has been supporting installation work in a marine area covering over 130 km² for almost a year. The first recruitment process for the operational phase of the offshore wind farm, which will supply 3% of Poland's electricity, is now underway. Among others, offshore operations coordinators and energy infrastructure operators are being sought.
The Baltic Power service base in Łeba was launched in the spring of 2025. It currently supports the ongoing installation campaign, which has mobilized approximately 80 ships and 4,500 crew members and contractor representatives since the beginning of 2025. Up to 20 ships work daily in an area comparable in size to Gdynia. CTV vessels – fast and light ships for transferring technicians to sea – also operate daily from the quay in Łeba. The MCC – Baltic Power Maritime Coordination Center in Łeba – oversees the coordination and safety of work 24/7.
The base is preparing for approximately thirty years of operation of the first offshore wind farm in Poland. The main service facilities will be based in Łeba, from where teams of technicians will set off for routine turbine inspections, among other duties. Up to four CTV vessels will be moored at a specially reinforced quay, which three years ago was still a promenade.
Ultimately, the service base in Łeba will employ approximately 40 representatives to the Baltic Power team and over 50 staff from affiliated contractors. The first recruitment process for positions dedicated to specialists in the maritime, energy infrastructure, and logistics industries are now open:
- Marine Coordinator – responsible for coordinating the movement of service vessels and supporting offshore operations.
- Site Operation Lead – responsible for overseeing daily activities at the service base and coordinating offshore operations.
- Operational Controller – responsible for operational control of the power system, conducting system operations, coordinating switching activities, and operational reporting.
Recruitment has also been launched for Warsaw-based roles for performance and risk assessment units:
- Performance Engineer – responsible for analyzing the farm’s performance, optimizing operational parameters, and supporting service teams.
- Contract & Risk Manager – responsible for managing operational contracts and conducting risk assessments during the operational phase.
Besides role-specific requirements, advanced proficiency in Polish and English is demanded for the positions being recruited. Further job offers will be posted successively on Baltic Power's career profiles.
Baltic Power will be the first wind farm to supply Poland with energy from the sea. With a capacity of approximately 1.2 GW, the farm will be able to produce 4 TWh of energy per year, which will provide energy for over 1.5 million households. The clean energy produced by the Baltic Power offshore wind farm will be able to cover 3% of the current national demand for electricity. The construction phase is scheduled for completion in the 2nd half of 2026.
